House style is where a magazine uses similar layout and structure. For example, masthead Font, Colours, logo's, placement of pictures and location of the barcode. House style is used by nearly every magazine on the market today to give each magazine a specific look and layout.

KERRANG. Kerrang is a rock genre music magazine, its target audience is young adults and adults and anyone really who is into this music. The 'House Style' used on this magazine appeals to their audience because its bright flashy, which is what young adults like, it catches your eye and the font is all in capitals which really shows that this magazine is a rock magazine, which is what the viewer likes and wants. As well with the layout on the images the audience can clearly see the image and the people who they listen to which makes them like the magazine more.
NME. NME is a rock, alternative and indie music magazine, Its target audience is teens and young adults or are into a variety of different music. The 'House Style' used on this magazine appeals to the audience as well as being quite simple it also strikes the audience eye when they look it at, because this magazine has a variety of different music the front cover is quite bland to show and represent this and also to show its different. While the font and writing might stay the same the picture on the front cover wont showing its a varied magazine. As well as being plain it dose not shout out at other people and actually being simple makes people more interested in reading as there not sure what genre it is.
